Schools Pathway

For many children, the journey begins with Mini Music for 0–4 year olds, where early musical experiences support development and lay the foundations for progression into school-based provision.

Through our Schools Pathway, MORABE builds on these early foundations by delivering both statutory curriculum musicianship and a broad enrichment programme within the school day and beyond. Pupils access a wide range of opportunities, including choir, group and individual instrumental lessons, ensembles and alumni groups that sustain participation as their skills and confidence grow.

This core provision is further enriched through workshops and performance opportunities in professional settings such as Snape Maltings, where pupils work with professional musicians, perform for and with their communities, and begin to see themselves as part of a wider cultural landscape.

All children have access to free instrument loans, removing a key barrier to participation. Children who would otherwise be unable to access instrumental lessons are supported through means-tested bursaries and scholarships, ensuring opportunity is shaped by ability and commitment, not background.
